Enter a 90-day trip in the calculator you’re testing. Now check the allowance for the days leading up to this trip; most will say you have an allowance of 90 because they’re only looking backwards. This is wrong, as we know you are already committed to the 90-day trip you just entered. The correct allowance should be zero for the 90 days preceding this trip. Other apps will incorrectly display that you have a 90-day allowance, and then when you test to enter a trip, will complain you’re causing an overstay - which we find frustrating.

The above example is easy as there is only 1 trip. As you enter more trips of varying lengths, we need to acc for a lot of interacting 180-day windows.
